King Oaks Development... The King Oaks Development in Grimes County is being developed by Bluegreen Corporation. This development totals 1,000 acres and has over 400 lots available for single family homes. Wickson Creek SUD will be serving this development with the installation of large waterlines and a new 250,000 gallon elevated tower that will serve this development and other Grimes County areas. (Posted 2/2007) Highway 21 Waterline Relocation... Texas Dept. of Transportation is designing the widening of Phase 2 of Hwy. 21 East from Kurten to the Navasota River. Wickson Creek SUD is acquiring new easements for the relocation of waterlines along Hwy. 21 from Democrat Rd. to Sand Creek Rd. (Posted 2/2007) Well #6 - Brazos County The District has purchased property along Harris Lane for Well #6. This property is 2500 ft. west of the District’s Plant #4. This well is scheduled to produce 600 gallons per minute and should be completed in 2008. (Posted 2/2007) Waterline Improvements... Major waterline improvements along FM 2776 and Harris Lane are scheduled to begin in 2007. Almost 2 miles of 24” and 2 miles of 18” waterline will be installed at an estimated cost of a million dollars. This project should begin in 2007 and end in the spring of 2008. (Posted 2/2007)
